What we collect, and why.
Short version: only what we need to run a booking or answer an enquiry. Never sold, never used for advertising.
Who we are
This website is run by Arth — with Manu Gupta. We decide how the information on this page is used, which makes us responsible for it.
What we collect
- When you book a workshop: your name, email and WhatsApp number, your teenager's first name and age, and anything you choose to write in the notes box.
- When you send a discovery enquiry: the same contact details, your teenager's age, and what you tell us about what is going on.
- When you ask for a free resource: your name and email.
- When you pay: Razorpay handles the payment. We receive a payment reference and the amount. We never see your card or bank details.
We collect this from you, the parent or guardian. We do not ask teenagers for their contact details, and we do not collect any information from them through this website.
What happens in sessions
What a teenager says or writes in a session is not recorded and is not shared with you or anyone else. The one exception is safety: if something suggests a young person is at risk of harm, we will involve the right adult. We tell teenagers this at the start of every session.
Why we use it
- To confirm a booking, send joining details and the workbook, and contact you about that session.
- To reply to an enquiry and arrange a call.
- To send the resource you asked for, and occasionally a short note for parents. Reply to any of them and we will stop.
- To keep the records the law requires for payments.
We use it on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on each form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to make the site work: our web host, which stores it; our email provider, which sends your confirmation; and Razorpay, which processes payment. Each is used only for that purpose. Meta also receives the browsing information described under Cookies and tracking below — never your name, email, phone number or anything about your teenager. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It is there for one reason: we advertise these workshops on Facebook, and the pixel is how we know which advertisement led to a booking rather than paying for advertising blindly.
It records that a browser visited a page, asked for a free resource, sent an enquiry, or completed a booking — and, for a booking, the amount paid. It sets cookies belonging to Meta, and Meta receives your IP address and browser details as part of that. Meta may match this with an account you are signed in to, and use it to show you our advertisements later. We never send Meta your name, your email, your phone number, or anything at all about your teenager.
You can stop it: turn off Off-Facebook activity in your Facebook settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use any tracker blocker. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Beyond that, the only cookie we set ourselves is a login cookie for our own admin page, which visitors never receive. Fonts load from Google, and Razorpay's payment window loads from Razorpay; both see a visitor's IP address as part of that.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to working together, and resource requests, are deleted when they are no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask to see what we hold about you or your teenager, correct it, delete it, or stop receiving emails. Write to the address below and we will reply within a reasonable time — usually within a week.
Questions or complaints
Write to Manu Gupta at info@arthwithmanu.com. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
